Amazon Picks Telangana (Hyderabad) for the Biggest Warehouse in India

Online E-Commerce major Amazon selected Telangana (Hyderabad) to establish Fulfillment Centre (FC) or The Warehouse facility, which is expected to be spread across 2,80,000 sq. ft, and will be operational from May-2015.

E-Commerce major giant Amazon India announced to open a large Fulfillment Centre (FC) or The Warehouse facility in Telangana, Hyderabad out skirts (Near Kottur, Mahaboob Nagar Dist.) to deliver Amazon products faster in southern States of India.

The Ware house which is expected to be open from may-2015, will be spread across 2,80,000 sq.ft.

For this biggest deal Amazon Seller Services Pvt Ltd delegations met Telangana State Information Technology (I.T.)Minister Mr. K. Taraka Rama Rao on Wednesday. A memorandum was made by Amazon with the Telangana State Government.


“This is the largest investment in infrastructure in any single state, till date, by Amazon in India,” the biggest giant said in a meet. With the opening of new Fulfillment Centre (FC), this largest giant will have 11 Warehouse centres operational across 9 states in India.

Amazon Fulfillment Centre in Karnataka State has been partially shut for nearly 9 months now, because of the Karnataka's tax regulator raised tax issues with this biggest giant.
